Reflection for Jewish Immigrants Field Trip

I learned many things at this museum. Here are some facts that I learned during the museum. In 1654, 23 Jewish immigrants have gone to Dutch, Amsterdam. But when they arrived the Governor Peter Stuystuvestant wanted to expel them the 23 Jewish immigrants. Then in 1970 Washington promised the Jews of Newport, Rhode Island, and federal government protection. Then also Judah Benjamin and Oscar Stuas became the first 2 Jewish people to become a cabinet member. But then after the war people thought that Judah Benjamin was apart of Lincolns assignation so he fled to England. Then Millions of Yiddish speaking Jews flee to America. Then the American congress closes the golden door to Eastern European Jews because they didn't want to have battles going on in there own country. But back in the day around 1838 Rebbeca Grats starts the first Sunday school. And my last fact is that Benjamin Siegal was one of the first Jewish gangsters and basically started Las Vegas for what its known today which is casinos.

PICTURE: This picture shows a very old aged woman partying with a very young girl with lit candles in the young woman's hair. I choose this because it seemed very happy at the moment. It seemed like she was having a great time because she was the person that was shining that night and it just looked really cool because is exciting, welcoming, and funny because she had candles in her hair.

QUOTE: When I left my country Vietnam, I never knew I would probably never come back again. I was just 10 years old. I new that my life would finally begin from this moment. I choose this quote because t seemed very deep. And what I mean by deep that is that his life was so harsh or bad or sad or any other bad emotional feeling where he came from. and as soon as that person got to that new country he felt alive free and not on top of the world but pretty close to it.
